Getting to Ayr…

…We had counted on leaving the ferry by six,

and being off the Isle of Skye,

by seven.

We were late off the ferry

and did not cross back onto the mainland

until eight.

Besides which, having to be somewhere

at a certain time tends to go against the grain

when holidaying, that is work stuff!

Normally we have a nebulous plan

which leaves lots of room

for unscheduled stops

when the landscape calls.
