You know, there can be few nicer feelings than being given a seal of approval by someone who understands what you are doing or trying to do. When the first came in I had no idea what to do with blogger awards… or even if it was ‘worthwhile’… but the more I thought about it, the more I realised how nice it was to be appreciated and noticed by others who understood the amount of effort and heart that goes in to making and maintaining a blog.
This page is for the blogger awards…. those little bits of understanding and approval from peers that have landed on my page and made me smile, giving me encouragement and keeping me going. They come from others who are writing and posting,. There are many who post every day and have my admiration as they still manage to keep the content interesting. Some light and fun, some informative, some deeply moving, some simply beautiful.
To those who nominated this blog, Thank you. To those in the incredible 167 countries where this blog has been read, Thank you. To those lovely folk who follow the blog, who stop by and leave a comment, share a story, make friends and put the human face on this blog… Thank you especially.
I am humbled.
However, I no longer have time to do full justice to this lovely facet of the blogging community… so thank you, but please understand when time dictates that I can no longer take part.
With thanks to Jordis at Jordy’s Streamings:
With thanks to Leena at Soul Connection and Tonya at Cheynoa’s Thoughts:
With thanks to manumausam:
With thanks to S.C. Richmond:
With thanks to Toni Pike for including me in her nominations. Please visit her blog to see the list of nominees and visit their blogs to see why she chose them!
The Respect award comes from Robert Goldstein and I am honoured to be included amongst the bloggers, artists and writers listed on this page.
Congratulations everyone! I wish the best of luck in all your endeavors of 2013!

Congratulations on your awards! It was fun learning more about you as I read this post. My little dog stole a piece of pizza from my son who briefly left it on his bedside table… he’s too small to raid our fridge – our teens do that! 😉 Thank you for nominating my blog!

Hi Wendy, my dog not only had most of the turkey, but the smoked salmon and anything else she can get her hands on.. unless you actually offer her a biscuit, then she refuses it… until you have had a bite. It’s all about the sharing 😉

You are so right! Especially if laughter is the best medicine, as they say!
The Heart sings and the Soul laughs and you know you have touched another as surely as when you see tears of joy or sadness!
It seems that perhaps, your words have a spell on me! In writing a comment here to your response to a viewer I found myself inspired and alas! You have again been a spark of inspiration for “YOU MADE ME LAUGH” and “A PRICELESS GIFT”!! Can I order that “SPARK” in the 365 Daily Dose, please? Ha!
See and now You have made my day! Thank you, Dear Sue!!!

Thanks, Chuck, I never really thought of myself as amusing. One of the real gifts of writing has been that others are sometimes amused. Sometimes they are touched, sometimes there is simply recognition…and that emotional connection really is priceless 🙂

Thank you so much. That is very kind of you. I still find it odd that anyone reads me, let alone enough to nominate me for anything.. odd and ..I would say humbling, because it is as near as i can get, but that isn’t quite right. I admit to pride too. 🙂

Thank you Sue, for this great post!!! I read it for how to handle awards as I want to be an award free site but you went and gave me the best gift of all – “the inspiration for more writing” are you available for appointments as a Muse??? LOL! Or perhaps you can just let me know the works that you have spread an extra allotment of “seeds of inspiration” on your words for “Old Gleaners” like me???
Chuck
Thanks so much!! I have been blessed!
