Photo prompt round-up: Arch #writephoto

Silent ghosts wander
Half forgotten memories
Cloistered past present
*
Glimpsed in the shadows
Flickers of recognition
Dance in the dust motes
*
Old stone holds magic
Childhood imagination
Remembers wonder

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken at Kirkstall Abbey in Yorkshire, so close to where I spent most of my childhood that I feel as if I know every stone. There are so many legends associated with this place…like the gruesome story of the Lovers Knot, to the legend of the buried treasure… so many memories and ghost stories, that I could not begin to share them all. But clicking the links will take you to a few 😉

Thank you so much to everyone who took part this week. There were so many contributions that I could not reblog all of them, however, all the posts are listed below, so please click on the links below to read them and leave a comment for the author!

A new prompt will be published later today. I will reblog as many contributions as possible as they come in and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.

Pingbacks do not always come through… if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list.

Come and join in!

Yeah! I knew it was Kirkstall Abbey! I’ve visited it for like the past 4 years when I go to the streampunk fair that’s held at a mill close by there. It’s a really nice little Abbey. 🙂 Thanks for featuring my short story. Looking forward to today’s prompt now!
