Create and Edit Universal Book Links – by Russell Phillips…

Reblogged via TRSA:

on Author Help:

A Universal Book Link (commonly referred to as a UBL) is a short link that will go to a web page showing links to all the stores where the ebook or audiobook can be bought. When the user clicks on any of the links, they will go to their local site if the store has one. Such a link is useful in all sorts of situations, but especially on social media, where a long list of links looks clunky at best.

This post will explain how to set up a Universal Book Link for any book (even if you are not the book’s author).

#Shortwritz: liquid sunset

Steve Tanham's avatarSun in Gemini

Arnside

Sometimes you just get lucky. This is the mouth of the estuary at Arnside, Cumbria, where two of the abundant local rivers flow out into Morecambe Bay.

During the previous half hour, and further upstream, I had taken several shots on the tiny beach where we sometimes walk Tess, our Collie dog–and finish the day with the excellent local fish and chips.. With the light fading, we were turning the car around here in the tiny harbour, when the sky suddenly exploded with orange liquid.

I stopped the car and literally ran back to this, the best vantage spot, and took about twenty variants till the moment passed and night encroached…

These mortal choices: Frank J. Tassone #writephoto

A fresh bank of cumulus clouds floats across the sky. The bare maple branches atop the trees in the front yard gently sway in the light breeze. The near-midafternoon sun casts their pale shadows across neighbors’ houses like so much shadow theater.

Except for the cold, it’s a day to visit their grave.

Spring with its showers passed. Summer with its searing heat passed. Autumn with its falling foliage passed. Now, this winter, with its defecit of snow, passes. Their memorial stone stoically endures the shifting climate and constant absence.

Into the All…

One, is All…

Two, is the realisation that One is All…

Three, is the balance of it…

Four, is the establishment of it…

Five, is its central essence…

Six takes sides against it…

Choice ~ Anita Dawes #writephoto

The blue river runs through high bracken banks

Over ancient moss-covered rocks

Dark trees line the way with long shadows

A peaceful scene you may think.

Take care not to step into the cool water

If you have dark thoughts in mind

Getting engaged…

Some places just seem to have a timeless quality. Almost exactly seven years after our first visit, ‘our blue chapel’ looked the same… still as beautiful and serene as ever. We sat on the rickety bench that is still there, basking in the sunlight of a perfect spring day, in a churchyard decked in flowers and with the obligatory hawks in abundant attendance.

It is not really the same, though… change is the one constant in life. The churchyard was not full of snowdrops on that first visit… there are more graves, more memorials and a different generation of birds watched over us, less elusive and less camera-shy than their forebears.

The biggest change, though, is in us. It is not just that we are seven years older, or that the then-nascent friendship has gone on to produce books and workshops inspired by what we have learned from our adventures in the landscape. There is a connection to the land here that was lacking before… an odd feeling of being welcomed when we revisit old haunts.

The Song Of A Stream ~ Balroop Singh #writephoto

This image evokes the memory of a sagacious song that each bounce of water whispered into my ears; the unforgettable lyrics… having the quality of a lilting and enchanting tune, unique in its form.

As the stream gurgled down with glee, I tried to sing with it and soak in those fleeting moments of unexpected joy. I marveled at its sparkling surge and luminosity that never loses its sheen.

I admired the freedom that nature endows us with!
