Do not be fooled by the shimmering sunlight through the trees.
This path is not meant to be trodden by Man.
As the seasons change, it may reveal some of its secrets but not all.
The leafy carpet, once golden and bronze, loses its colour to become dust.
When the winds come, the trees bow to make way.
Birds hasten to skyward roosts and animals scurry to higher ground.
Crystal raindrops kiss the boughs and Nature’s chandelier promotes rainbows.
A gentle trickle becomes a stream, then a torrent as the floods begin.
Soon after, the silence is replaced by thunder.
