Brilliant link between the two beautiful photos – your haiku couldn’t have been worded more perfectly. Love those bluebells – they’re one of my favourite flowers, although I think they should be renamed purplebells because they’re purple, not blue. Thanks for a lovely start to my day. 🙂

I had this conversation with an artist well known for painting them. I am assured that they are blue with a touch of alizarin crimson…which means you are right, they are purple 😉

Yes! I knew I wasn’t imagining it! I’m obsessed with purple and never wear any other colour except black because that’s neutral and it goes with purple. So I’ve got a very finely tuned purple radar! I’m looking forward to seeing the purplebells this year then! 🙂

I always fancied purple hair… 😉 There’s time yet.
Yes, I’ll be trekking up to Ashridge for the bluebells again 🙂

I love Ashridge. And as for purple hair, me too! I did have purple streaks when I was younger, but I reckon I’ll do it again one day for fun. You’re absolutely right, there’s plenty of time yet. I used to accuse my nan of having purple hair, which always annoyed her because apparently it was a rinse called ‘charcoal grey’. It wasn’t. It was purple… 🙂

If I ever go purple, there will be no doubting the colour. Think Madam Mim 😉

That’s exactly the colour my nan was – ‘charcoal grey’! Cool! 🙂
