Use the image below to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT) Wednesday 16th November and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.
Don’t forget to use the #writephoto hashtag in your title so your posts can be found.
You can find all last week’s entries in the round-up. Please visit and read the stories and poems and explore the sites of their writers.
The first posts will feature on the blog during the week and all posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 17th November.
Feel free to use #writephoto logo or include the prompt photo in your post if you wish or you can replace it with one of your own to illustrate your work.
Have fun!

I’ll try. I’m babysitting the Overlord this weekend which tends to get me behind on just about everything. 🙂

It is really odd, Michael. If I go to your home page, the story is there. If I try to click into it, it says, ‘page not found’!

I wrote one but it wouldn’t post. I was struck by the fact that this photo has roused the same dark emotions in several writers…some very similar.
It is the very normality of appearances that makes the victims of such abuse feel so helpless. Who, after all, would ever believe what happens behind those prim doors. And it happens all too often.

Most certainly and I can bare testimony to that….though my tale was a piece of fiction I should point out…

I can bear witness to it too… but that particular story isn’t fictional.

Well there is always an element of truth in every story…..I think that image will generate some fascinating responses…I see its given Willow two responses….such images evoke so many memories in us….

I’d like to know the real story the walls have seen. Much soul-searching, I would think.

Oh yes but that would go for any old house wouldn’t it. My house is over 100 years old and I imagine it has a few tales to tell….

This onegoes back just a tad further… it was originally built a thousand years ago.

Wow…..that was what I found fascinating about visiting London and places in Europe, the age of everything compared to what I know down here just boggles the mind…

We tend to forget that too often. We are so lucky to have a rich history all around us.

Yes and we should fight tooth and nail to preserve it as best we can I think…

We do…though there are a lot of regulations in place to protect it, there is always someone with enough money and no heart ready to flout them.

So true, we have to keep up the fight though…

Due to an over run of another story, I can’t post the story I’ve written for this prompt till Thursday morning now. Makes me sad I missed the deadline, but nothing I could do. I’ll post a link to it anyway when it’s up.
