Photo prompt round up – Anomaly #writephoto

This week’s photo was taken one cold, frosty dawn, looking west from the top of Higger Tor in Derbyshire. The iridescence is caused when light is scattered by water droplets in the clouds and produces an eerie, otherworldly effect.

In the darkest hour

A golden-winged messenger

Walks heaven’s highway

Poised between two worlds

Bearing a vessel of dreams

A gift of the gods

Dreamers awaken

Sleepers choose oblivion

Blind to her beauty

The contributions just get better and better. As always, I have reblogged as many as I could. Please click on the links below to visit all the posts and leave a comment for the author! A new prompt will be published later today…come and join in!

The vagaries of WordPress mean that occasionally a pingback won’t get through. If you have written a piece for this week’s challenge and it does not appear below, please leave a link in the comments and I will add it to the list.

Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.
