Note from TWO small dogs…

Okay, call the vets in white coats… she’s officially lost the plot!

She thinks she’s a dog.

I’ll bet you thought she’d brought me a new friend home… I wish!  I’d love a furry companion.  She says she would if we were allowed… but we’re only allowed me here. And the fish, but that’s not quite the same. I could probably have a bird too, but she doesn’t like cages…and I sort of chase things with feathers. A ferret might be fun, but she says it isn’t all that easy to find a ferret-sitter.

But if she thinks she can make me believe that she is a dog, she has another think coming.

It all started this morning when she wished me a happy new year. I knew something was wrong then…I mean, it is February! Last time I looked, the official new year started just after Christmas… and it’s too late for Imbolc too, so there was obviously something weird going on. Not that its unusual around here… she’s pretty good at weird. Myself, I think she’s going stir crazy… she needs a break… and I’m sure the two-legs’ vets with the white van would oblige…

On top of that bit of lunacy, she also seemed to think she’s a Chinese dog…and that her boys are a rat and a rabbit… And if that isn’t bad enough, she says I’m a rabbit too! Whoa!

I told her to go and lay down somewhere quiet for a bit. She just laughed and made funny noises… something like xin nian kuai le… which made no sense to me at all. She said it had to do with those little oranges or ducks… mandarins, I think she called them… though what they had to do with anything, I don’t know…

Anyway, she took my advice and went off with a bag to stay with a dragon, leaving me to stay with my friends… for which I am truly thankful! There’s safety in numbers…

The thing is, if she really thinks she is a dog, is she going to want to share my chicken and my treats???

And who’ll take us for walks???

I just hope she’s house-trained…

Much love,

Ani xxx

I would love to be a dog, but fate made me a monkey. Some people say it fits me rather well, but I have no idea what they mean!

Don’t worry Ani, its a party game of sorts invented by two-legs on the other side of the world and things will be back to just the normal level of strangeness in a few days.

  17. Hi Ani. OK, now that’s weird… Even for humans. Know what my human said when she spotted your post? She said she was a rat, and told me I’m a rooster. When the vets in white coats are done with your human, maybe you should send them to mine! Lots of licks, Lilie

Another two-legged Dog here, Ani … don’t worry, your treats are safe … mostly … I think … best hide them before she gets back … just in case. 😀
