As soon as I saw Sue Vincent’s photowrite prompt for this week I knew I was going to have to write another post about the landscape down here in southern Victoria for her photo reminded me of photos I had taken myself at Mt Eccles, an extinct volcano in Western Victoria, Australia.

Mt Eccles is riddled with lava channels created around 30,000 years ago when molten lava roared across the land. There is archaeological evidence that Aboriginal people lived around the area at that time.
