Thursday photo prompt – Crow #writephoto

First in this week…

Bobby Fairfield's avatarWhen the pen takes control.

crow

Old black crow you sit there
high up in the tree
if only you could share with us
what your eyes and mind now see,
Would it be a litany
of straight flown paths to home
or disappearing woodland trees
and other tales of woe.
Would you ask what is the yellow sea
that you never knew before
why on each horizon appear
houses by the score.
your world and mine is changing
it can never be the same
some call it evolution
or progress to it’s shame.

Your poem and photo made me write up the story of the crows who built a nest behind my house this spring. Thanks you for the motivation – https://scvincent.com/2018/01/11/thursday-photo-prompt-crow-writephoto-by-sue-vincent/
