Love’s Rebirth

First in this week…

The Poetry Channel

I feel
the sand
sliding down
the glass,
the moon
as it
waxes and wanes,
the seasons change.
Each is a beat,
the pulse
at my throat.
Here in dark, dank
catacombs
beneath the fetid
moat.
Cobwebs in the corners,
worms eating
through the earth.
This, my heart’s
sepulcher
where I await
my love’s rebirth.
