Fallen fairy wings
Starved of the warmth of belief
Summer’s petals fade

Purple fairy wings – how lovely. I’m fading too with this hideous heat. How are you coping?

Wilting… and praying for a good storm 😦

Me too. It’s been particularly vile this week. Hopefully your prayers – and mine – will be answered later. 😦

Hot, sticky, heavy and airless… the worst weather as far as I am concerned. Keep praying 😉

Absolutely, it’s vile. Me too. The BBC weather site promises storms for us this afternoon and this evening, but I can’t see many bubbling up at the moment. It’s torture. I’ll definitely keep praying though. Relief can’t come soon enough. 😉

I’d like to think that right after you took the photo the fairy-wing recyclers popped round and carefully refolded them so they could be presented to the very next newborn fairy. 🙂
