Dancers #writephoto

Watch
Wakeful
Beneath stars
Full moon rising
Touching ancient land
Hidden portal opens
Passage to the Otherworld
Entranced by its invitation
Moving with the silent song of stone
Dance and dancer know no separation
Liminal shades wear amorphous faces
Glimpses of passion older than time
Temptation is a siren-song
Beneath moonlight or within
Mysteries half-revealed
Perilous beauty
Paying the price
Watch and learn
Fey-folk
Dance

About Sue Vincent

Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.

That’s fantastic, Sue. You weave words together to make such evocative imagery, just as the wicker women are expertly woven into human forms. I particularly love the longest four lines, so haunting. A wonderful response. And I won’t say where it is again, but I love both photos. It’s a great place, and clearly very inspiring for you. 🙂

The secret is out now, Alli … so yes, the withy sculptures at Rollright are amazing. Did you see the Eller Wicth that was there a couple of years ago?

No, sadly I missed the Eller Witch. Was that like the withies?

Wow – that’s amazing. It’s almost menacing. I wish I had seen it. It looks as though it would make a big impact.

Also, another thought occurs. I just wanted to say please forgive me if I’m a bit quiet over the next few weeks. I’m still here, and I will tune into your fabulous blog, but I’m now hard into the revision process for my exam on 14th June, and that’s eating up most of my time just for this last, intensive period. To be honest, I can’t wait until it’s over with now, as Latin is a gruelling language to learn and there’s so much I need to get back under my belt after studying solidly since October. I’m hoping to get maybe one blog post out at some point, but it was as much as I could do to publish anything last weekend owing to revision tutorial in London. But sadly this weekend looks out for any posting from medievalwanderings.com
But rest assured, as the sun rises in the morning, I’ll be back properly as soon as it’s all over. 🙂
