Because I grew up around rivers and creeks, all bubbling merrily, or meandering somnambulantly along, but always moving, it took me a few years to feel peaceful around all the lakes here. it was as though the stillness was just the precursor to the other shoe dropping. Water’s tricky like that. 🙂

I just miss the stuff. There were always rivers and streams tumbling over rocks where I grew up. Here there is very little water except artificial lakes…and they don’t count somehow 😉
