Above and below

Mysteries hold out their hands

Man and nature dream

The two pictures were taken on the slopes of Fin Cop in Derbyshire, a place where there are mysteries and half-forgetten memories preserved in the stone. We had, after many attempts to find a way to access th summit, managed to get as far as the ‘faery castle’ below it. A place where the shadowy memory we call folklore tells the tale of a lovelorn giant, and where the bones of a young boy were found long ago.
