Late night haibun…

I’d lost four fish in quick succession, in spite of everything I had tried. Another dozen were struggling.

Dash to the local aquarium store to buy a new air pump.  Hope that will resolve the problem… so far so good.

The rest of the day cuts everything too fine. Not enough time for any of the things I plan to enjoy. Ten thirty at night, I’m asleep at the screen with nothing written for morning…

All’s well with the world

I sometimes miss having fish and the joy they bring, but I don’t miss those horrible days when you know something is wrong…

Lovely sentiments, Sue. That’s what really matters, the people in our lives who care and that we care about. They’re beautiful flowers, and well deserved too. 🙂

They are lovely, but the card is even better. My four-year old granddaughter signed her own name (and drew me a portrait of Ani) and her one year old sister ‘signed’ the envelope 🙂

Oh that’s wonderful – and a simple squiggle says so much! I got all choked too, because my 8 year old son, who’s autistic, made me a card at school and wrote so nicely in it, and he gave me a hug and wished me happy mother’s day. They’re all little stars, aren’t they? 🙂
