With six-pack of beer on his passenger seat, Eddy pulled over to the shoulder. There, he parked the car, shut off the ignition with a turn of the key, and leaned back in his seat. He sighed and grabbed one of the glass bottles of beer and began drinking. “Life, am I right?” He said. There was no one in the car but him. “Gotta be perfect, right? One mistake and your life is screwed.”
He quickly downed the first bottle. Grabbing a second bottle, he got out of the car, walked around, and leaned against the passenger door. He took in the scenery. “It’s a shame it has to be like this.” He took a large swig, allowing the alcohol to flow through his body. “This here is my favorite place. Just look at the trees and the river in the distance. So peaceful.”
