She did not know how long she sat in the muddy plains looking on with contemplating eyes. It was dark when she’d come here, finding solace upon the still waves, finding quietness, finding comfort in the silence. She had sat and brooded, the dark waters agreeing with her mood. She hadn’t moved much in all those hours, no word had been uttered from her lips, but inside her was a storm of its own.
In the outskirts of the valley, in the canopy of the night, she sat and just sat, doing nothing more than thinking. There was a lot on her mind, there was a lot going on in her life. It was hectic, it was tiring, but here in dead of the night, it was still and it was quiet. It was the break she’d needed for a long time now, a break from everyone but most of her and her judgemental eyes. Her eyes traveled towards her own self, she’d begin to find flaws even in the moonlit dimness, she diverted her gaze and forced her eyes back to the dark blue waves.
