Anticipation #writespiration

Anticipation
Illusory alchemy
Of fear and desire

A childlike wonder
What is melds with what may be
Outcome uncertain

Hesitant fingers
Plucking at daisy petals
Seek to dispel doubt

Hope extends a hand
To accept what is offered
Fickle destiny

When hearts miss a beat
The distance between two breaths
Becomes infinite
