I think that at the onset of every calamity we humans have managed to put ourselves through, and Some Herself has dropped upon us, we have gone through a period of mourning for what can never be reclaimed. ‘Things’ may indeed return to ‘normal’, but we’re not ‘things’ are we? 🙂
