Keep it alive

Sue Vincentis the host of Thursday Photo Prompt

Welcome to this week’s writephoto prompt.

This week’s prompt ~ Crown

(For visually challenged writers, theimage shows a well trodden pathway through a field of mown wheat. The path leads up a hill to a green mound crowned with jagged standing stones)

~*~

The path was clear

Though not easy I’d say

But I could see where I needed to go

And the bounty at the end beckoned me

I knew that there would be problems on the way

Because nothing is as easy as it looks

But what’s the challenge in things that fall in our lap

Something won with effortholds more meaning

And is more cherished for we worked harder for it
