I love the bridge in this – very pretty design.

This is the Iron Bridge over the River Severn. Built in 1781, it was the first major bridgein the world to be made of iron.

Very cool! It’s too bad that modern bridges don’t tend to have many architectural nuances unless they’re very, very major (like the new Bay Bridge).

A lot of modern architecture seems more intent on making a name for its designer than being pleasing to the eye.
