This story is an offshoot of one of my entries for Kat Myrmans’s Twittering Tales.

The story was entitled the Relic.

You may infer from the title that it was a mini-chiller. Or not. I’m making an assumption, so apologies. Kat posts a new writing prompt every Tuesday, they’re enormously fun, and test one’s ability to create a succinct story in 280 characters.
