Bedtime…

I got home early, all convinced,

I’d be all done by seven.

I’d have a shower, settle down

And watch a film… such heaven!

And yet, I’m still here writing

At a quarter past eleven…

Not all is lost, ’cause somehow

I’m all scheduled days ahead!

I’ll get to spend the weekend

On some workshop work instead…

(And that’s on top of normal work…)

…I wish I was in bed.

*

In half an hour, I’ll be done,

And then with any luck,

I’ll snuggle under cover

With an old familiar book…

And lose myself in storyland

And will not give a ….zzzzzzz
