    I wonder if that is indeed the ‘doom’ of the human species?
    Some time in my past I read a story that posited that humans kept on doing this because they had no racial memory …. that caught my attention. Perhaps if those who were contemplating actions that were harmful to others, from one end of the scale to the other, were connected to visceral memories of the consequences of those actions they wouldn’t, and perhaps even physically couldn’t, commit them. Food for thought. 🙂
