Upon a skeletal framework
Only seeds of hope

I like this one. A thing to remember when I’m shoveling snow, there are still seeds of hope of a spring to come.

Anything to keep the bloody squirrels from digging them up!

I’m rather fond of squirrels… Moles, now, in the lawn… an altogether different matter 😉

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love squirrels. I feed them non-stop with bird seed meant for Cardinals and Blue Jays. It’s absolutely hysterical watching them skinny down the cord to the bird feeders and clinging for dear life while stealing the birdy chow. (Come to think of it, I might actually be a squirrel sadist. Nevermind.)
Enjoy your squirrels in a safe and responsible manner!

Yes, we feed them too, in much the same manner. Though I will not in a hurry forget my son calling me to ask if you ever got bald-tailed squirrels…

Thank you. The midnighthaiku poems are not really a challenge, but I do enjoy reading responses to them.
