The way leads onwards
Eternal spiral of life
Ever ascending
The perfection of motion
Leads only deeper within

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken in my village, at Waddesdon Manor, a magnificent French chateau, nestled in the green fields of Buckinghamshire. The staircase is one of a pair of spirals that rise like something out of a fairytale at each wind of the house. I visited the Manor again recently, in the company of friends and this time I took a good many pictures of the fabulous artworks it was built to house.

Thank you so much to the incredible number of writers who took part this week. There was no way I could reblog all the contributions and there are some fabulous tales to be read! All the posts are listed below, so please click on the links below to read them and leave a comment for the author! Thank you too, to everyone who reblogged the prompt, round up and the individual resposes!
A new prompt will be published later today. I will reblog as many contributions as space and time allows, as they come in… and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.
Pingbacks do not always come through… if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list.
Come and join in!

Beautiful poem, Sue, and what a place. It’s lovely that you can visit. And another great turnout of responses. I have a lot of fun reading them through the week. 🙂

I have to admit that I prefer the gardens to the interior, though…and especially the trees and the aviary where they help with the conservation of endangered birds.

That’s interesting about the birds. And how nice to have it near by.

As writers and bloggers, life is full of firsts, isn’t it? This was our first #writephoto for Sue (and pingback) and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. (That was another first, BTW!)
