Photo prompt round up – Inside-out #writephoto

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken inside Bolsover Castle, Derbyshire. There was a rainstorm when I was there, and while the gargoyles poured water away from the foundations of the castle, the old windows allowed the elements to creep  inside. It is an odd place of contrasts…ruins and decadence, paint and practicality, elegance and decay.

Between absence from the computer and illness, I have not shared as many posts as I would have liked this week. I have also noticed that pingbacks are not always getting through. If you have written a piece for this week’s challenge and it does not appear below, please leave a link in the comments and I will add it to the list.

As always there were some superb contributions this week and I would like to thank  everyone who took part. Please click on the links below to visit all the posts and leave a comment for the author! A new prompt will be published later today and I will reblog as many as I can through the week as they come in and all contributions will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.

Come and join in!

Inside-out

Storm clouds gathering
The firmament within reach
Painting iron skies
Destruction or nourishment
Need dictating perspective

Tears fall from heaven
Born of sorrow or laughter
Answering purpose
My face raised to their caress
I accept the paradox

Possibilities
Carrying both life and death
And purpose unknown
These are the waters of life
Benediction in disguise

Many thanks to this weeks contributors:
