Use the image below to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT) Wednesday 19th April and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.
Please note: I will be away from the computer for a good while this week as we head into the Silent Eye’s annual workshop weekend…inspired by the presence of the ancient stones that stand in silent mystery across our landscape. Reblogs and responses to comments will be a little errratic until I am back at the screen, but all posts will feature in the round-up.
Don’t forget to use the #writephoto hashtag in your title so your posts can be found.
You can find all last week’s entries in the round-up. Please visit and read the stories and poems and explore the sites of their writers.
I will feature as many entries as I can on the blog during the week, but given the volume of contributions we are getting every week, that will not be all of them! All posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 20th April.
Feel free to use #writephoto logo or include the prompt photo in your post if you wish or you can replace it with one of your own to illustrate your work.
Have fun!
I love that photo!!!

Pingback: Enigma – #writephoto | Trent's World (the Blog)
Great picture! Avesbury? Anyway, just wrote a silly little story for it. I hope you enjoy: https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2017/04/13/enigma-writephoto/

Yes, Avebury. Not much of a secret needed on the location for this one. The stones themselves are mystery enough.

Yes, the stones are mysterious enough – I’ve only been to England once, but I spent an afternoon wandering around those stones.

I’ve been there many times, Trent, but the sense of Mystery remains.

For some reason I can’t get the photo onto my desktop. I’ll try again later, otherwise it will have to be a story about random stones.

That’s weird…mind you, WeirdPress is doing its thing a fair bit today. God alone knows what wondeful Easter surprise they have lined up for us…

Its speciality at the moment is the exploding comment. I start to write a reply and WP trashes the comment. Always too quick for me to retrieve it. I’ve no idea where they go.

I love this photo. ❤ Stayed at Avebury (in a tiny inn–don't know if it's still there) a few years ago. I absolutely loved it there.

Pingback: #writephoto enigma: Culleen and the Standing Stones – Lorraine's frilly freudian slip
Culleen has been nudging and poking at me after seeing several previous prompts to which I only wrote non-posted fragments. She is restless and impatience; so some writing in the raw on her quest.
https://myfrillyfreudianslip.wordpress.com/2017/04/17/writephoto-enigma-culleen-and-the-standing-stones/
The picture is very intriguing. North America doesn’t have standing stones to my knowledge.

She was inspired by several recent #writephoto images; she got impatient when I didn’t finish the installment — hence this is a fragmentary tale.
