Barren winter’s hope
Piercing the darkness with light
Stars of earth shining

The art of the haiku, saying so much with such few words. And you did it perfectly! Didn’t need the photo, the picture you built is much more beautiful!

Beautiful words of hope, I love the Lilley of the Valley my dad’s favourite flower.💜

So do I… my great grandparents had swathes of them under the roses… and they remind me of May Day in France where a sprig is given to bring happiness.
But these are braver than lily of the valley… early snowdrops 😉

A lovely haiku, Sue! Our weather has been so wonky here. We’ve had really, really cold days, snow days, rainy days, and warm weather days. We’ve had shrubs and trees burst out in bud and early flowers popping their heads up. I am looking forward to Spring in a few months, but not in the middle of winter. ❤️🤗❤️
