Healing

nick-north-days-016-copy

Champagne nights
Fool their prisoners.
They die, bleeding,
Drinking salty lies
From a poisoned glass
Of broken desire.

*

The soft kiss
Of a young morning…
Or dazzle of a star
In a velvet sky
Heals the naked heart
Waking it to joy
And eternity’s laughter.
