clicked over to read the full thing – yes – isn’t it intriguing? the impressions of life and the cycle of time? I cannot ‘cut loose’ the past, for I do not wish to forget the gifts gained from it – I plan for the worst possible future I might be able to weather, for how else to do I make choices today, to survive to see the future? and yet, in the deepest cellular parts of me, the only true things I’ve ever known are timeless – in that – when I first encountered them – time stopped – when I am reminded of the lessons (if you will) learned in that moment, yesterday is clearer and more real to me than today and shows a future that feels just as real – thus – I look upon those admonitions to forget the past with disdain – for, in my past are the seeds of my time travel – that never changes, that always gifts, that never goes away – sorry – but as always, this one spoke to me, as I was once more discouraged from thinking about the past and yet, in all it’s heart ache and sorrow, I’m certain I’m reminded of it often, recently, to remember a nugget of what I glimpsed of, then – – and only by revisiting it – even the ugly portions, will I remind myself what I’ve obviously forgotten – 🙂 The whole process of ‘re-membering’ myself is sometimes such a lonely road to walk – 🙂
