Earth-song in the heart
Stone that drinks from iron skies
Heather in the blood
Ageless and timeless siren
Calling the wanderer home

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken one wintry Friday in heaven… alone on the moors above Ilkley after an absence that had lasted far too long. It was supposed to be a few minutes wander before continuing my journey…but that little stretch of moor sings to my soul in ways no other place does… and, caught up in the joy of wandering the hills alone, I walked for miles and hours.
I have been back many times since that morning. The Silent Eye has run two workshops on the moors, we have walked there with a friend, seeking the fairy mine and wandered together, finding wonder every time. I could never tire of this place and, although my horizons and affections have widened to take in other moors and the many beautiful and ancient places that we have visited, Ilkley Moor is, and will remain, dear to my heart.
It always calls me home.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part! There were just too many to reblog all of the posts this week, but they are all listed below, so please click on the links to read them and leave a comment for the author! Thank you too, to everyone who reblogged the prompt, round up and the individual resposes!
Pingbacks do not always come through… if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list.
A new prompt will be published later today. I will reblog as many contributions as space and time allows, as they come in… and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.
Come and join in!
