Fading

Our holiday

feels long ago

the memory’s almost gone.

I do remember

we had fun

it was warm and the sun shone.

During winter

I can’t recall

the summer’s blazing heat.

From the bitter cold

into the house

I gratefully retreat.

The reverse is true

I must admit

when blossoms announce the spring.
