“Dona mihi transitum scholae.” The nausea, the spinning, the stomachache. Emme landed with a thud and fell hard. She worked to calm her stomach and the nausea and took deep breaths. It took a few seconds, but she managed it.
When she opened her eyes, he stood there before her. Where the hell was she? Definitely not the school. At least not part of the school that she recognized. Some old hall. Emme Jumped back. A knight covered in cobwebs, blocked her escape. This couldn’t be good.
Think, Emme, think. Before she made her move, he reached out and grabbed her wrist. Emme struggled but couldn’t move. His grip, unbreakable. She screamed.
