Photo prompt round-up: New #writephoto

Awestruck and silent

Horizon of lucent gold

Awash with wonder

Each dawn a new beginning

Each hope anew becoming

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken at Ilkley in Yorkshire. The couple standing on top of the Cow and Calf rocks were silhouetted against a perfect dawn. We have run a couple of our workshops there, and the landscape is heaving with traces of the ancient past, from cairns and rock carvings, to stone circles. But more importantly, it is ‘my’ moor… the one I loved as I grew from child to woman, the one I have known all my life, and the one that always calls me home.

I am way behind this week… apologies for the Spartan comments and the delay in reading the entries! If the bugs would leave me and the technology alone, I might even be able to catch up…

Thank you so much to everyone who took part. I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to create their own story from these prompts. I wish there was space to reblog all the contributions, as there are some beautiful pieces every week that I would love to reblog, but which come in after I have filled all the allocated slots.

All the posts are listed below, so please click on the links to read them and leave a comment for the author.

Thank you too, to everyone who reblogged the prompt, round up and the individual resposes.

Pingbacks do not always come through… and I can miss things too, so if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list.

A new prompt will be published later today. I will reblog as many contributions as space and time allows, as they come in… and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.

As there are usually too many contributions to reblog all of them every week, and so that we can get to know their writers, I would like to invite all writephoto regulars to come and introduce themselves on the blog as my guest! ‘Regulars’ does not mean you have to take part every week… Click here for details

Come and join in!

About Sue Vincent

Sue Vincent was a Yorkshire born writer, esoteric teacher and a Director of The Silent Eye. She was immersed in the Mysteries all her life. Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. She had a lasting love-affair with the landscape of Albion, the hidden country of the heart. Sue  passed into spirit at the end of March 2021.
