Some things fall into your day as soft and fragile as a snowflake, filling it with joy. Some are warm as a ray of sunshine or as comforting as a pair of arms that hold you close when the world changes and you feel small and scared.
Some things come into your life and bless you with their presence, yet melt away as quickly as any snowflake. Others come in to stay… you grow into them and they become part of your heart. Laughter, tears and every emotion are shared and they grow because you share them.
Me, I’m just a small dog and don’t know much, but I know that blessings don’t have to come with bows and ribbons… it is the small things that creep into your heart and make all the difference.
Two-legses talk a lot about blessings at Christmas. Some, she tells me, see their Christmas blessings in their beliefs, some in their friends and family, but it seems to me that it is all the same… the real blessing is love.
Speaking of small things, meet my little friend Luna, who looks after Jordis, a friend of my two-legs…
Luna’s Letter
My name is Luna Gracie and I am Jordy’s little doggie. She shared that you were collecting letters to take to Santa for Christmas blessings.
Well, Jordy, my four legged, says that you and me, Ani are our blessings.
We make them laugh with our funny antics but more important is we are blessings to those that are in the hospital or ill. Jordy takes me to Auntie Gammie, my cousins Gramma. She has cancer and she might not be with us for much longer. I play with Auntie Gammie and give her hugs and snuggle with her.
I asked Jordy to take me to the hospital so I can be a blessing to more Auntie Grammies and Uncle Pappa.
I love you, Ani. You are a blessing just like me!
I will share more pictures with my cousins Poppy and Duffy. But I wanted to wish you a beautiful start of the Christmas season.
We are counting down the days to Christ’s birthday. Jordy says that is when grace appears in everyone’s life and how we learn to share the love with our four leggeds.
Well I hope to meet you one day, Ani.
With love, Luna Gracie
About Jordis, Luna’s two-legs who blogs at Jordy’s Streamings.
Greetings, my name is Jordis Fasheh. However, I am using Jordan as my pen name. The name Jordan compliments a recent spiritual transformation and symbolizes the baptismal waters of the river Jordan.
“From that water of life he is in a state of elation.” Rumi
My first love is writing poetry and I started as early as when I learned to write the alphabet. I learned to read with Omar Khayyam’s, Rubayait and Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi’s, Poems. I discovered the books on my parents bookshelves and they became my teachers. Both mystics influenced my development from a very young age.

Oh Ani, what a sensitive post and philosophical musings for today. You are so right Christmas is about love whatever our beliefs and Jordy takes the best of it when she visits her cousins Gramma. Blessings for the best of Christmas to everyone who reads this. Love Ben xx
