Use the image below to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT) Wednesday 21st December and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.
Don’t forget to use the #writephoto hashtag in your title so your posts can be found.
You can find all last week’s entries in the round-up. Please visit and read the stories and poems and explore the sites of their writers.
The first posts will feature on the blog during the week and all posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 22nd December.
Feel free to use #writephoto logo or include the prompt photo in your post if you wish or you can replace it with one of your own to illustrate your work.
Have fun!

I feel guilty about not responding these last bunch of weeks, so I thought I’d add something to this one, at least 🙂 It will be up in the morning. I seem to be having a lot of trouble keeping up with everything these days.

Thanks, Bernadette. The link is still not working, but I found it from your comment. It should look like this, which is just cut and pasted from the address of your post:

I ended up in memory land, so you have Christmas Past and to the Present. Thanks for giving me the tool to think of all of the times before. I felt a little like Christmas Carol looking back and again in meeting the present. I’ll leave the future for the future.

Hi Sue, I posted this yesterday with pingback for the photo challenge but I’m not sure that it worked. So here I am trying again. Best wishes Norma
Bah Humbug!
Hello Mary, just thought I’d have a chat whilst my mince pies are cooling.
You’ve finished all your baking, well done.
No, it’s just going to be us this year, I’m quite looking forward to it.
Lonely? No not at all. It will feel strange I grant you, but now that the grand-kids are growing up, they want to be doing their own thing, don’t they?
24 of you! Are you doing all the cooking?
It does help when everyone pitches in; but I don’t like anyone around me when I’m cooking. I’m in splendid isolation on Christmas morning. George goes off for a long walk with the dog, via the pub of course. Then it’s lunch, The Queen and a quiet snooze.
Don’t you find that the children squabble about board games, then they eat far too many sweets. A recipe for disaster I call it.
Yes, I already know what my Christmas present is. A new kitchen. You know how tatty looking it is compared with your lovely home. Should be in sometime in February, then you must come for a meal.
No, we couldn’t intrude on Christmas Day.
Thank you, 12.30 it is.
