A drop of sunshine
Bright against a faded leaf
Childhood’s smiles return

It’s been a drizzly, damp day here. Your haiku brightened my day.:-)

It is a wet and soggy morning here for the first day of summer. But then, this is England 😉

Perfect! The things that brought smiles when we were children, still bring smiles.

They do… and why should we stop being children just because we grow older? 😉

Most of our ‘Lady Beetles’ or Ladybugs are red with black spots. Some have only a few while others have many spots. I think it was an old wives tale that said the number of spots told how old she was 😉 I would imagine that in different climates all things adapt.
Unfortunately we also have a nasty little beetle that is black with white spots – a nymph really that evolves into the dreaded Spotted Lanternfly which is very destructive (which came over from another country…)

Ours are usually red, though we also have ornage, beige, black and yellow ones…
