Do they come out ok after a person touches/takes care of them?

It is not recommended. I watched this little one for two hours after Ani alerted me, but the parents did not cme for it…he had been blown from a nest in the ivy. Luckily, we have an excellent wildlife rescue not far away.

I don’t know if I’ve ever heard something more British sounding than “Tiggywinkle.” Maybe “Nobbly Bobbly” is up in those reaches, but that’s about it.

Mrs Tiggywinkle was the hedgehog in Beatrix Potter’s stories… and the wildlife centre began as a hedgehog rescue.

It was odd, with Ani being a bird dog and loving to set them flying…she just sang at me till I came for this little guy.
