Guest author: Jane Sturgeon ~ Writing on Water ‘Self-awareness’

My heartfelt thanks to Sue for inviting me to write and share here on her Daily Echo.

I started to blog on the day Petra Kvitova (Czech) won the Women’s Wimbledon tennis final and the understanding, support and care that flows in this Global Village over eight years is a tender gift.

Through a few re-inventions on what I do to navigate life’s waters, I recently set-up a workshop in my home and started to make new clothes from old.  It gave me some space to recover from a difficult few months when I had been away caring for loved ones and allowed my de-cluttering business to morph into a different stream of income. For over forty years I have held a dream to write books and found myself getting up early to write in the fresh morning light before my sewing day started.  There was a growing sense that in sharing our colourful stories we can build bridges to meet on.

We all have the need to be seen and heard and as I sewed I felt a life support service start to take shape alongside the writing.  I could take the energy built from personal experience, life tools learned and loving care and turn it into a natural way of enabling others to bring their dreams, hopes and wishes into life.

Self-awareness is the first in the series Writing on Water and I hope it helps you to find an understanding and new awareness of who you are.

Writing on Water ‘Self-awareness’

Each one of us holds stories about ourselves and these drive our lives. Thoughts are attached to emotions and actions spring from how we feel. Old stories can be re-written, new stories can be crafted and discoveries are made along the way. It is the tapestry of life and yes, you can weave with whatever threads you choose. Loving support, fresh perspectives and new life tools can make all the difference.
