Would you Adam and Eve it? I, Alienora, long renowned for having two left thumbs and the sewing ability of a dead platypus, have started creating a costume for the forthcoming Silent Eye weekend of ritual drama!
As I said to a friend: Cooking?! Sewing?!! At this rate, I shall be crocheting antimacassars and playing light airs upon the virginals!

Oh yes! Great fun it is, too. This time I am unashamedly going completely over the top – and I rather suspect that my partner in crime, as you might say, will upstage even my efforts!!! The workshops are a high point in my annual calendar and I always enjoy every aspect of them! xxx

Oh good! I can’t sew either bit love giving it a go for the costumes. I sort of hoped the pair of you would pull the stops out for this one…and from what I can see, I can’t wait to see the rest 🙂 xxx

Oh, I think you can be assured that the two of us will go completely over the top; I suspect friendly rivalry on the glitter and sparkle front may already have set in. We’ll probably have to hire a trailer for the costumes!!! xxx

Each day, I add a bit more razzmatazz to an already totally OTT ensemble! May well incur serious fines from the Taste Police. God alone knows what Dean will have come up with!! I’ll soon find out! Just hope we don’t clash, colour-wise, too horribly!!! xxx

We’ve had some wonderful costmes over the years…it isn’t required, but it does add something to the drama of the workshop. From the psychological perspective, it helps create the mood and get into character. It is also great fun to get to dress up and leave the world behind for a while 🙂
