Dear Santa, I have got to say
The weather’s not too good.
Okay for certain men in red
Who always wear a hood…
It’s not so good for soggy dogs
Who come back dripping wet,
With tangled ears and muddy tail
That haven’t dried out yet.
You know what’s going to happen next?
It’s no joke, please don’t laugh…
She’ll sniff and call me smelly dog
And stuff me in the bath.
But, as it’s Christmas, you’re in charge,
Instead of rain, you know,
Perhaps you could just sort it out
So we could have some snow?
I’ll roll in it and get all clean,
It’s like a dry shampoo.
And if nobody’s looking maybe
She’ll roll in it too.
She’s like a puppy when it snows
We just go out to play…
And if she wraps up warm enough
We might stay out all day!
So Santa, have a little look
And see what you can do.
I think I’d really like some snow
(And Rudolph thinks so too.)
Much love,
Ani xxx
You are so lucky to have so much rain. We have had a drought and no snow either!

I know. We forget that in England and the beauty of the green land is entirely because of the rain .

We can share a bit of our snow with you if you don’t mind the cold cold temps.

Oh Ani I’m firmly behind you on this! Snow this year would be wonderful! It’s been 6 years since we had decent snow in the south East! Sonu Singh hasn’t seen real snow! Only a 1mm covering which may as well have been frost!!!

We’ve had several inches…for a day or two… once or twwice in Ani’s lifetime. She needs a really good white Christmas.

Yeah! Since I’ve been alive, they always make it snow here *after* Christmas – a lot – can’t seem to get the timing right at all. It’s hard for me to walk when the snow gets deep since my legs are so short, but I actually love to jump around in it anyway. (That coat Mom makes me wear, not so much, but it does help keep me a bit more dry. Icy fur is awful.)
Woof! Tink

Ani, if she’s bothered by the smell of a wet small dog, tell her to be glad you’re not a boy goat. Seriously, though, I agree you would both be happier with snow and I hope Santa delivers.

She likes goats. And llamas. Maybe not the smell though 🙂

Today’s bright and sunny here. The snow’s all glisten-y and the sky’s so blue it goes on forever. The prognosticators say we might get another 20-30 centimeters over the weekend. (and then it’s back to our usual rain) I’ve put in a word for you with the snow-elves to blow some of it (the snow) across the Atlantic and into your back yard. All digits crossed. 🙂

Ani, have you ever seen Santa? I haven’t but intend to stay awake all night this year ~ or try to. I always seem to drift off just at the wrong moment. Stanny

I’d like some snow, too,Ani! It hardly ever snows here and I do like it from time to time. I’m sure it would help prevent soiling the light couch, although with the new one, that shouldn’t be such a problem. I like to make snow angels!
