I’ve really had to think of something a little different to Halloween for my contribution!
Gone in a flash, literally, of the camera.
A black ‘being’, not clear, undefined.
Were those eyes, or reflected brilliance from the light?
A tail perhaps, standing tall to warn away those who trespass,
Or smoke from a fire to warm a chilled soul?
A paw or claw, extends forward, to beckon or deter,
An illusion perhaps, the mind playing tricks.
But look left.
More eyes look out from the darkness.
This creature gold and tentacled,
Reaching down to touch white sand,
Yet afraid to let go of the rock that secures it.
