Believe it or not, it wasn’t moonrise but a pure, pale sunset. We had called at Avebury on our way back from giving the Silent Eye’s final talk of the series in Glastonbury a couple of years ago. It had become a habit… a place to wind down and touch a life slower and deeper than our own…a magical place to recharge and remember ourselves. This photo was a gift and one we have used in our books.
We had some great stories for last week’s #writephoto prompt. If you missed them you can find them in the round-up here.
For this week’s photo prompt, use the image to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… by Wednesday 6th April and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.
Don’t forget to use the brand new and shiny #writephoto hashtag in your title 🙂
The first few posts will feature on the blog during the week and all posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 7th April.
Feel free to use the photo in your post if you wish.
Have fun!
Gorgeous photo, Sue 🙂 I have a photo of me and the child standing in between those stones – they are truly massive, aren’t they? I still wonder how on earth they moved them into place.

And so much more of them…and so many more… buried below ground. 🙂

It does look like the moon, doesn’t it? Either way, the photo has a wonderful mysterious look to it.

The pingbacks sometimes need approving first for some reason. Not always… Thanks Jane 🙂

I know they sometimes take a while to show up, but I’m liable to forget to keep checking.

What a great picture, Sue! So you have your own hash tag now? Cool! Your writing prompt has grown into such a success, and I’m not surprised… your photos are wonderful, and so inspiring.
