Beautiful, Sue. I’m always struck by how much the picture I have from hearing your words differs from the picture I get after reading your tags. How much is understanding based on context rather than the specific words used I wonder. It fascinates me. I first thought of people, then large wild animals like wolves or deer who guard places, trees (but trees don’t walk, so I dismissed that.) I would have never guessed sheep. 🙂

The image is two horned sheep on the moor… although ‘farmed’ they live wild and they certainly guard the pathways.
The images suggest a context… but never the only one.

  2. These are so remarkable. I can stand for hours watching/waiting for big horn sheep to come down off the Rocky Mountains. They are like mountain spirits
