Jordis’ Story

Over the next few days I will be sharing impressions written by the companions at the birth of the School. This is Jordis’ story.lam

Birth of The Silent Eye School of Consciousness April 21, 2013.

The closest way to describe our weekend together would be to say that we came together to embark upon the road with heart in the Hills and Dales of an ancient land and to discover our soul’s oneness with all that is. A thousand individual rays of a prism refracted as the light of Christ coming together in sacred space to become conscious of who we are in perfection. As pilgrims and companions we travelled from distant places, a sojourn of a lifetime, to meet up in this magical place to light the torch and way home to the eternal one that I Am.

On day one, as my pilgrim’s character, the Proud Physician, I brought with me a feeble attempt at intellectual pursuit and reach for knowledge in all the worldly sense of a healer. I meant to share what I had been studying before the weekend in attempt to prepare for our journey. However, sitting with Steve, Sue, Stuart, Dominique and Benjamin, I realized that our aim was one that would fulfill being. It was to go far beyond the intellect and into the realm of heart to connect with the infinite source of love and light. Of course, with Steve saying that there was no need to have the intellect in high gear, and that we are here to experience truth, I immediately shed the physicians cloak and opened up to what the weekend’s journey through ritual and knowledge lectures had to offer. I felt welcome and held gently inside a warm and loving container.

We set off Friday evening, high in the mountains and crags of Andasola, the Gods, Keepers, and Powers, guided the Troubadours, child, and pilgrims out of the cold and turbulent storm that the dark shadows of our small selves created, into the present perfection of oneness with our highest Self.  As the weekend and rituals unfolded, in light and love, as companions, we laughed and cried together from the core of our hearts. With Sue as the Great Mother, I reconnected with the eternal feminine and melted into the enfoldment of the wings of Isis. With Steve as progenitor, I felt safe and nurtured through his gentle nature, passionate vision and open heart. With Stuart, as the child and guiding light, along with the great King and Queen, through their own transformation and letting go, I was given to the moment of awakening, when in true form, I reconnected with source and saw my Higher Self and that of all of the companions, in the present perfection of being. And in glorious form on Sunday, early morning at dawn, blessed by the presence and joy of the singing lamb to welcome us into the fold and to help birth the school of the Silent Eye, we danced in the light of the Sun. Although, I wanted to run and shout, laugh and cry through the gateway that Sue and Steve held as High Priest and Priestess, I restrained myself and was the first to walk through, to proclaim that I have risen and declare my intention to join the new school.

Truly, I laughed and cried with a fine bunch of folk from diverse backgrounds who brought with them acceptance for all, angels and demons alike. We stayed up until the wee hours of the night talking, sharing and listening to one another. The greatest gift of the weekend was the restoration of my inner sight and the reopening of my heart center, awakening to the glorious beauty of who we are as divine emanations in this vast and splendid world.

Thank you to Sue and Steve for the remarkable journey through ritual and the opportunity to walk through a new doorway and for consciousness to know itself as creation’s perfection. Thank you to Stuart for your soft and gentle guidance as the child of light. Thank you to all of the upholders; Matt who brings the creative fire to his fabulous photography, to Benjamin a brilliant painter and sound technician, Adam a sacred drummer and everyone who spent time and energy building the temple and creating and holding sacred space. Thank you to the companions who made me laugh until my belly ached and warming my heart with your authentic and charming selves. And Alienora for scaring the life out me during the dancer’s last attempt at wielding enough power to save the pilgrims. To Dean for your marvelous tales of survival and conquering the wild forces of nature including sea crocs, tiger sharks, the hundred eyes of alligators in the Everglades, accidentally trodding upon a giant black mamba and then running for your life, unknowingly sleeping next to tarantulas and black widows, and saving a hare’s life while providing it shelter and safety from the hounds and their masters. To Kevin for your bawdy sense of humor. And of course, to Matt for your incredible ability of transforming the serious and severe into light hearted and funny stories. Especially enjoyed the story of putting up with al dente Brussel sprouts smothered in a full bottle of cold Coleman’s Curry as the main and only course while listening to a complaint about Irritable Bowel Syndrome! And to Katie for your kind sensibilities, and bold humor, especially after scaring off the woman at the Pub! And really everyone for all of your stories, wisdom, counsel and most of all your generosity of heart. While I am from San Francisco, I left my heart with all of you in Great Hucklow. Cheers to all and until we meet again, in love and light!
