For the photo prompt suggested last week, Geoff Le Pard from Tangental gave us this:
‘You have to guess what’s behind it or it won’t open.’ Sally looked smug.
George, 2 years younger, asked. ‘Is that right Grandpa?’
‘Reckon. Been the legend since anyone recalls. Say what you think into the keyhole.’
George leant forward. Grandpa stopped him. ‘You only get one go. Don’t waste it.’
All the children tried, but George refused to try. He just listened.
The day Sally was due to leave for university, George took her to the door. ‘It’s time.’
Sally smiled as he said, ‘Nothing.’
‘That’s rid…’
The door swung open, revealing a hole as black as death.

Oooooh, Geoff, I love this! Now you have to write another post and tell us about that black hole.
