First in this week…
Sue Vincent is the host of Thursday Photo Prompt
Welcome to this week’s #writephoto prompt!
This week’s prompt ~ Veiled
(For visually challenged writers, theimage shows a green horizon, beyond which the mist veils a hill topped with strange rock formations)
~*~
There are secrets that lie hidden
Veiled from our eyes in mists
We sometimes live a shallow life
Uncaring and unconcerned with the deeper meanings
And deny ourself the satisfaction of knowing
Knowing what this life is truly about
Never looking deep enough into the curtain
To see what is right there in front of our eyes
Can you look into the mist and discern
The hidden truths that will unlock the mystery
That is life?

I always have enjoyed a good mist or fog. While away the power company near the lake was shrouded in a heavy fog and the towers looked as if they could have belonged to a castle.
Another day when the sky was clear someone pointed out that the company apparently put up a nesting box for a falcon – and I saw the falcon on a perch outside of the nesting box. 🙂
Lovely verse – too often there is a fog or mist within our own selves that prevents us from moving forward.
